Frequently Asked Questions

What is Mobile Massage?

Mobile massage is where a Massage Therapist comes to your house with everything needed for a massage and does the treatment there.

What do I need to have a mobile massage treatment in my home?

All you need for a mobile massage treatment is a space in your home big enough for a massage treatment table to be set up (with room for the therapist to move around it).

The massage table at Restore Balance is comfy and spacious, and is about the length and width of a three-person couch. A sitting room with no coffee table, or an empty spare room/office might be a great space to consider in your house for a mobile massage.

I don’t have space in my home for a mobile treatment, but I would still like to book a massage. What can I do?

I am currently in the process of finding a location for Restore Balance to offer services out of, so if mobile massage is not something that suits you at this time keep an eye on my social media pages and this website for updates!

What is Therapeutic Massage?

Therapeutic massage combines various techniques and pressure applied with a holistic-approach for an effective yet relaxing massage treatment based on assessment of the unique muscle imbalances in your body.

What are Prenatal and Postnatal Massage Therapy?

Prenatal and Postnatal Massage Therapy are massage treatments specific to women who are currently pregnant or postpartum.

Going beyond relaxation, these massage treatments address the various muscular tensions and discomfort that can naturally occur as your body adapts to your growing baby through your pregnancy and postpartum experience.

Just like pregnancy, postpartum is a period of huge adjustment (mentally, physically, emotionally, etc.) and a lot of upper body tension can develop as your posture adjusts to holding, feeding, and carrying your new baby.

Are treatments covered by private health insurance?

Some private health insurance companies offer coverage for massage therapy. I am registered with the Irish Massage Therapists Association and can issue receipts that will be accepted for reimbursement by Irish Life Health. If you are with another health insurance company, it may be worth checking with them directly about your coverage and what they will accept for reimbursement.
